01Your addresses
measuringThe same connection can present different addresses depending on how it is reached. Each row below is an independent request over a different path.

02WebRTC candidates
measuringWebRTC negotiates peer-to-peer connections by asking a STUN server which addresses it can be reached on. It does this beneath the browser's proxy settings, so it can expose an address the rest of the page never sees.

03DNS resolvers
waitingYour browser is asked to resolve hostnames nobody has ever looked up before, in a zone this server answers for. Whichever resolver you are configured with has to come and ask us, which is how it identifies itself.

04Torrent client address
not startedA torrent client is a separate application with its own routing, so the address it exposes to a swarm may differ from your browser's. This test hands you a magnet link for a file that does not exist, pointing at a tracker we run. Nothing is downloaded and no swarm is joined.
05Device location
permission requiredReported by the device itself rather than inferred from the network. It is usually far more precise than an address lookup, and no tunnel affects it. Nothing is requested until you ask for it.

07Address location
estimatedInferred from the address, not measured. The true location is somewhere near this point, and often only identifies your provider's routing rather than you. The circle is the accuracy radius the database reports.
08Browser and device
readingProperties every site can read without permission. Individually these are unremarkable; combined, an unusual set of values can identify a browser across visits even with no cookies at all.
